CookieYes and Complianz alternative: Spark Cookie Consent

CookieYes and Complianz are well known names for cookie consent on WordPress. Spark Cookie Consent takes a different approach: a WordPress plugin that adapts to your site, with Google Consent Mode v2, an automatic scanner and an exportable consent log. The pricing model is about the number of sites, not the number of pageviews. That is a difference with CookieYes, where the plans have a pageview limit. Complianz has no such limit. This page puts features and approach side by side, as of October 2026, without judging speed or quality.
In short
  • Priced per number of sites, no pageview tier
  • Consent Mode v2 built in, scripts blocked until a choice
  • Claude writes and translates your banner texts
  • CookieYes and Complianz offer more standards and regional options

What Spark Cookie Consent does

You install the plugin like any WordPress plugin. The scanner immediately maps your scripts and trackers and pre-fills the categories. In the live preview you adjust style, layout, behaviour and text while the banner is on your own site; the plugin detects your site colours automatically. Accept and reject are equal buttons, categories are granular and declined cookies are removed. Scripts stay blocked until the visitor allows the matching category, and all Google signals are denied until consent is given.

How CookieYes and Complianz work

CookieYes works with an account and dashboard and has a free plan and paid plans per domain per month. The plans differ in pageviews per month and pages per scan; on the middle plans extra pageviews are charged separately, the highest plan has unlimited pageviews. Complianz is a WordPress plugin with yearly licences per number of sites, a hybrid cookie scan, records of consent, regional banners, A/B testing and processing of data requests. Complianz states that pageviews and stored consents are not limited.

Where CookieYes and Complianz are stronger

Both competitors are broader. CookieYes lists IAB TCF, Global Privacy Control, geo-targeting, scheduled scans, scans behind a login and multi-user access; it is also a Google and IAB TCF certified CMP. Complianz offers regional banners and legal documents per region, A/B testing and processing of data requests. If you run an international site with several privacy laws, or need a certified CMP for advertising networks, both are further along than Spark Cookie Consent. We do not list these items on our product page.

The pricing model in words

With Spark Cookie Consent you choose a number of sites, yearly or monthly, and can cancel monthly. The product page states no pageview limit. CookieYes charges per domain per month and ties the plan to pageviews, with a free entry and a trial period. Complianz sells yearly licences per number of sites with a year of updates and support. Which is cheapest therefore depends on your traffic and number of sites; we deliberately name no amounts here.

How we compared

We read the Spark Cookie Consent product page and the public pricing pages of CookieYes and Complianz, as of October 2026. We compare features and approach. This is not legal advice and not a verdict on how well a banner meets the law; have that checked for your own situation.
Run the scanner on your site first and see which trackers it finds before you choose a tool.
