Yes, as long as your site is built with Breakdance and running on WordPress 6.0 or higher with PHP 8.1 or higher. The plugin reads and translates the existing Breakdance tree, so you don't need to rebuild anything.
You use your own DeepL or Claude key (bring your own key), so you pay the translation service directly without any markup from Spark Multilingual. Without a key, the plugin still works - you simply fill in translations manually via the Studio or through CSV import.
No. The plugin never mutates the source text of your pages, headers, footers or templates - the translation layer is completely additive. If you disable the plugin, your site simply continues running in the source language, with no changes whatsoever.
Yes. Each language automatically gets correct hreflang tags and its own place in the sitemap, and you choose between a language prefix or unique translated slugs per language. A page that isn't fully translated yet gets noindex and will never appear half-translated in Google.
There's no built-in limit on the number of languages in the plugin. In practice, you decide that yourself, depending on your AI budget and the time you want to spend on review.
