FacetWP alternative for WooCommerce and Breakdance
FacetWP is the well known choice for faceted search in WordPress: broad, flexible and made for developers. Spark Power Filters is narrower and more focused: WooCommerce filters with an own index, built as real Breakdance elements and Divi 5 modules, with shortcodes for other builders. It does something extra if you also use Spark Speed, because known filter states then come from the cache. This page puts features and approach side by side, as of October 2026. We make no claims about speed, because we have no independent source for it here.
In short
- Native Breakdance elements and Divi 5 modules
- Own URL per filter state with noindex and canonical
- Filter states from cache together with Spark Speed
- FacetWP is broader: any field, any post type, geolocation
What Spark Power Filters does
You create facets in the backend, choose a source (WooCommerce property, taxonomy, product meta or price) and a display, and place them with Breakdance elements, Divi 5 modules or shortcodes. Counts come from an own index that is rebuilt atomically in the background and only used once it is ready. Every filter state has its own shareable URL and also works without JavaScript. You get filter chips, a reset button, a filter drawer on mobile, multiple lists per page and variation swatches for colour, image or text.
How FacetWP works
FacetWP builds facets from existing data: post types, custom fields and taxonomies, including ACF fields with repeaters. It works with an index table and loads through Ajax without a page refresh. You place facets through the block editor, shortcodes or PHP and are not tied to a particular grid builder. There is built-in support for WooCommerce and a large number of facet types, from checkboxes and sliders to date ranges and proximity. Developers get many hooks and the official add-ons are part of the licence.
Features side by side
The table shows what both parties state publicly themselves. If FacetWP is listed as not stated, that does not mean it is missing.

Where FacetWP is stronger
FacetWP can be used far more broadly. You filter recipes, jobs, properties or cars with it, not only products, and it has proximity search by location, date ranges and user filters. It is builder independent and also made for developers with many hooks, its own layout builder and well known integrations such as ACF and Beaver Builder. Spark Power Filters targets WooCommerce shops and the builders we support. If you have a directory or a non-WooCommerce site with many custom fields, FacetWP fits better.
The pricing model in words
Spark Power Filters is sold per number of sites, yearly or monthly, from a single site up to unlimited, and you can cancel. FacetWP sells yearly licences with a site limit per plan, a year of updates and support, a discount on renewal and no refunds, but a trial version with limited functionality. When a FacetWP licence lapses, the plugin keeps working without updates and support. We do not name amounts on purpose.
How we compared
We read the Spark Power Filters product page and the public home, features and pricing pages of FacetWP, as of October 2026. We compare features and approach, not speed. What we could not find, we report as not stated.
