What the AI in Spark Speed Actually Does
The AI in Spark Speed takes the guesswork out: which scripts can wait, which CSS is redundant, and which resources slow your site. Each suggestion then goes through the same safety check as any other optimization.
In short
- The AI determines which scripts and CSS slow your site
- Run the skill yourself for free, or automatically with your own key
- Each AI suggestion is tested per page before going live
What choices the AI makes
On an average WordPress site, much more script and CSS loads than a page actually needs. The AI checks per page which resources can wait until after load, which must be excluded because they're needed right away, and which CSS goes unused.
Two ways to run it
You have a choice in how the AI works. By default, you run the Claude skill yourself at no extra cost. Want it fully automatic? Connect your own API key and Spark processes the suggestions in the background.
- Run it yourself: the Claude skill, at no extra cost
- Automatic: your own API key, in the background
- Either way, you stay in control
Good to know: an AI suggestion is never final. It goes through the same one-click verification as any optimization; anything that doesn't prove safe won't be applied.
Let AI handle the legwork while you keep control.
Frequently asked questions
Not necessarily. You can run the skill yourself at no additional cost. Only if you want it fully automated, you use your own API key, and the costs are with your own provider.
Only what's needed to determine the optimization suggestions, and only when you use automatic mode with your own key. Running it yourself keeps everything completely in your control.
That's handled. Every change goes through shadow rendering and is only applied if the page still looks exactly the same.
